About US

What sets us apart.
Genuine Cultural Connection

Soltura Cuba Travel is a not-for-profit based in Portland, Oregon. "Soltura" is a Spanish word with definitions ranging from agile to fluent to fluid. We curate specialized small-group tours that allow our travelers to experience the cultural delicacies of Cuba and to enjoy their trips to Cuba to their fullest. You can relax knowing that the details of your Cuba travel will be cared for, based on your interests. While there are now a myriad of tour companies to choose from when planning a vacation to Cuba, we hold true to a passion for sincere cultural connection that our tour leaders have maintained over years, having experience in Cuba that goes back to 2008.

We consider ourselves citizen diplomats, leading small, specialized group trips to Cuba to facilitate understanding between our countries. We get to know Cuba through guest lectures and we create a cultural exchange by getting to know the Cubans who we have been building relationships with for several years. We attempt to provide a much deeper sense of the culture of Cuba than what one might get through the window of a tour bus. If you intend to visit and travel to Cuba to gain a true insight into what life is like there and to connect with it’s people, or if you desire a small group trip tailored to your passions, Soltura Travel, the best service for Cuba travel, is structured to ensure an unforgettable vacation to Cuba that will leave you feeling well cared for by people who are fluent in the culture and are passionate about Cuba travel.

It is integral to our mission that we give back when we arrange trips to Cuba or any other place. We have partnered with several educational community projects in Cuba that work with youth on weekends, strengthening a sense of community, and instilling a love for the arts. We bring donations to help support these projects, and a portion of Soltura Cuba Travel's profits goes directly toward supporting these programs. Visiting the project sites is usually a highlight of the trip for our travelers, and together, we make a positive impact on our world.
